Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Develop your abilities to find, interpret, evaluate and present material from the scientific literature, and to ascertain if the student is capable of putting into practice the knowledge he or she has learnt in the course.
- Raise a straightforward scientific question and design a research study to answer that question. Develop a range of skills to perform a scientific study to gather, analyse and critically appraise a set of results
- Record and comment on your day to day activites in a lab/record book (Lab-based and Clinical/Audit projects), or record book/diary (Analysis proejcts).
- Present your findings critically and succinctly as a written project report and oral presentation
- Discuss your findings with insight and depth of understanding in the context of the associated literature with a professional scientific community and audience
