SummaryThis course will provide students with knowledge of typical anaesthetic equipment available to facilitate anaesthesia and monitoring and how to use that equipment safely and effectively.
Course description Knowledge and understanding of anaesthetic machine and elated equipment function.

On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  1. To be able to use appropriate terminology correctly
  2. To be able to draw and/or describe the parts of the anaesthetic machine, their function and common problems
  3. To be able to explain how anaesthetic monitoring equipment works and how to use it
  4. To be able to compare different types of equipment and select as appropriate
  5. To be able to troubleshoot equipment related problems
