Degree Programme Table: Business Studies and French (MA Hons) (UTBSTFR)

Year 3, Academic year 2016/17, Starting month: August

  • Notes: Entry into third year honours normally requires (i) passes in all courses (240 credits) in the first two years, and (ii) a mark of 50% or above at the first attempt in two Business courses in second year (not including Business Research Methods I: Quantitative Techniques), and (iii) a mark of 50% in French 2 at the first attempt.

    Students must spend their third year abroad at a partner university, in the country of the language being studied, and complete and pass a full year's diet of examinable subjects (equivalent to 120 credits), 80 credits of which must be in Business. All students must complete and pass an equivalent course to the year 3 compulsory course Strategic Management.

    Students in Year 3 must take a minimum of TWO taught courses (equivalent to 40 credits) per semester.



  • Year 4, Academic year 2016/17, Starting month: August

  • Notes: Students in Year 4 must take a minimum of ONE taught course (20 credits) per semester.

    The final degree for MA Business Studies and French will be classified on 8 equally weighted units of assessment (160 credits): 1. (Language Paper 1) 2. (Language Paper 2) 3. (Oral) 4. (Language Option) 5-6. (Management Honours Dissertation) 7-8. (Business Studies courses)
