SummaryThe course is a continuation of Japanese Language 1A. Students will encounter elementary skill-building further. The course is designed to give students a full line-up of communicative practice in situations with which they can readily identify, and by presenting 800 frequently used vocabulary items, 145 kanji, expressions, and grammar. A good deal of private study is necessary to meet the requirements of the course.

Learning Outcomes
Students will be able to listen to and comprehend conversations about topics frequently encountered in daily life and classroom situations. They will also be able to read and write basic digital texts such as e-mail. Students will gain essential language knowledge for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT), N5 level.
