Prohibited Combinations Other requirements Entry to the course will be for students already holding (or expecting to hold) an Honours degree or equivalent in a biological subject such as biochemistry, molecular biology, biophysics, pharmacology. Students with a background in chemistry, physics, computer science or Informatics will also be considered, and those iwth other scientific or medical backgrounds should contact the Course Organiser.

Learning Outcomes
Students will have the basic knowledge necessary to prepare a grant application to one of the Research Councils. This will involve reviewing the relevant literature in a particular area of science, proposing a topic that will form the basis of a research project and then prepare a series of experimental protocols designed to investigate the topic.
