Indicative course content
This course enables students to develop a personal, integrated, critical and reflective design approach appropriate to their chosen discipline. Students work on self-selected and generated projects within a studio environment.
Aims of course
1 develop and consolidate personal creative methods, techniques and approaches
2 explore how practitioners generate and justify personal project briefs
3 develop and consolidate personal approaches to materials and processes

Formative: A Portfolio containing the different video assignments made throughout the course:
- Vimeo links to 5 films in 5 Days
- Directorial vision for short film with visual references
- Written Reflection on the development of a directorial voice
and approach.
Summative: Students should submit their Electronic Studio Portfolio, consisting of:
1. A series of video explorations for the development of their
short film.
2. A statement and visual treatment, expressing their vision
and approach for their short film, supported by visual
references.

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
