Notes:
Upon successful completion of Year 1:
1. Students who have taken Chemical Engineering 1 may transfer into Year 2 of one of the following programmes:
- Chemical Engineering (BEng Hons)
- Chemical Engineering with Management (BEng Hons)
2. Students who have taken Civil Engineering 1 may transfer into Year 2 of one of the following programmes:
- Civil Engineering (BEng Hons)
- Structural and Fire Safety Engineering (BEng Hons)
3. Students who have taken Electrical Engineering 1 may transfer into Year 2 of one of the following programmes:
- Electrical Engineering with Renewable Energy (BEng Hons)
- Electronics (BEng Hons)
- Electronics and Electrical Engineering (BEng Hons)
- Electronics and Electrical Engineering with Management (BEng Hons)
4. Students who have taken Mechanical Engineering 1 may transfer into Year 2 of one of the following programmes:
- Mechanical Engineering (BEng Hons)
- Mechanical Engineering with Management (BEng Hons)
- Mechanical Engineering with Renewable Energy (BEng Hons)

For students taking Chemical Engineering 1:
1. SCEE08001 Engineering 1 will be replaced by CHEM08016 Chemistry 1A, and
2. ENAI07006 CSE English for Academic Purposes 2 will be replaced by CHEM08017 Chemistry 1B.
3. Additionally, students taking Chemical Engineering 1 must have IELTS 6.5 or equivalent on entry.
