It is recommended that at least 20 points of courses be taken from courses within the College of Science and Engineering, schedules K-Q/T. Common choices for this programme are to take one or more of Environmental Chemistry 2 (CHEM08020), Materials Chemistry 2 (CHEM08021) or Chemical Pharmacology 2 (BIME08002).

1. For those students wishing to achieve a balanced coverage of chemistry it is recommended that courses chosen include: Properties and Reactions of Matter; Synthetic Organic Chemistry; Techniques and Concepts in Inorganic Chemistry.
2. For those students wishing to specialise in Materials Chemistry it is recommended that the courses chosen include: Properties and Reactions of Matter; Physical Techniques in Action; Chemistry of Functional Materials; Techniques and Concepts in Inorganic Chemistry.
3. For those students wishing to specialise in Environmental and Sustainable Chemistry it is recommended that courses chosen include: Analytical Chemistry; Environmental Chemistry; Sustainable Chemistry.
