SummaryThis course offers an introduction to the changing nature of the French countryside. The course compares cultural differences in agricultural policies and landscapes, and covers French landscape policies.
Course description This placement comprises the following seven courses:

Learning Outcomes
Students will gain knowledge and understanding of large scale contemporary landscape issues, such as sub-urban expansion themes, agrarian transformation in rural and sub rural areas as well a project-orientated understanding of the agricultural and natural dynamic in the French 'Cantons' (districts).

Special Arrangements This is an umbrella course to cover the 50 SCQF credits undertaken by European Masters in Landscape Architecture (EMiLA) students, who choose Versailles for their second placement. Please note that students will be taught and assessed in French.
