| Summary | The aim of this course is to teach the student about the aetiology, prevalence, assessment and management of dental anxiety in children and adolescents using the most appropriate non-pharmacological and pharmacological behaviour management techniques. |  
| Course description | Understanding dental anxiety and behaviour management is essential in Paediatric Dentistry. This course aims to teach the student how to recognise and catagorise dental anxiety in a way that leads to the best behaviour management modality for each individual patient. Students are introduced to the national guidelines for management of anxiety with both pharmacological and non-pharmacological techniques. |
