SummaryWorking from the project plan established in either Animation 4A: Research & Pre-Production or Animation 4B: Pre- Production, students will develop most of their final film project's animation. The inevitable discrepancies and deviations from the initial plan that generated the animation will become a focus for the application of a responsive and creative set of problem solving skills to complete a major film project to a stage where it is ready for the next part of the workflow to begin in "Animation 4D: Promotion & Distribution".
Course description This advanced animation course is the culmination of an animation student's undergraduate journey, and revolves around the completion of a major animation project, initiated in the previous semester, and a journal that documents its production.

The course will cover:

Technical workshops around resolution, formats and codecs for exhibition
Use of AVID, Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut for compositing (available software may be updated, and this list is indicative rather than guaranteed)
Colour grading
Audio levelling and normalisation
Management of distributed rendering
Recruitment and support of voice talent, composers and sound designers
Recruitment and support of junior animators
Sustainable working practices for animators

This course primarily focuses on managing the logistical realities of animation production, and finding ways to operate within a production schedule that allow animators to maximise the return for their investment of time and effort.
