| Summary | This course is designed to introduce the postgraduate students to the skills required to record good quality intra-oral and extra-oral clinical images. It will include the selection and setting up of camera equipment and the saving and digital manipulation of images. |
| Course description |
The broad aim of this course is to provide skills coaching aimed at the specific skill of dental clinical photography. A series of recorded lectures and demonstrations accompanied by learning tasks will be used to help students develop the necessary skills.

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Have confidence in using a clinical camera and be able to record a set of good quality images of a patient and save them in the patient record.
- Critically assess the quality of clinical images and use this skill to improve the quality of images recorded in their own clinic.
- Explain the process of storing and using patient images and use this knowledge to gain patient consent for recording clinical images.
- Have basic knowledge of image manipulation and be able to re-size and insert them in a document or other media.
