On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  1. 1. To be able to discuss the anatomical and physiological differences between birds, reptiles and mammals and their relevance for anaesthesia
  2. 2. To be able to suggest appropriate anaesthetic and analgesic management for reptiles and birds in commonly encountered situations
  3. To be able to discuss the problems wth a chemical restraint and anaesthesia with wild animals
  4. To be able to describe commonly used techniques for capture, restraint and anaesthesia of wild animals and comapre them
  5. To demonstrate a suitable awareness of safety considerations
