| Summary | The course comprises a major research project in one of the following areas of zoology: parasite biology, animal behaviour, evolution, evolutionary ecology and systematics.   A wide range of projects is offered and students are also encouraged to submit their own proposals.  Projects are allocated early  in Semester 1 with project planning and training, and limited practical work taking place in semester 1; The majority of practical work takes place in Semester 2 (January) and proceeds until thesis hand-in (late April). The project also involves a significant taught training element covering key research skills such as study design, scientific presentation, scientific writing and data analysis and interpretation |
