All compulsory courses with the exception of 'Jurisprudence (LAWS08129)' are required for progression towards legal practice as a solicitor in Scotland. However, 'Jurisprudence (LAWS08129)' is required for the award of the LLB on this programme.
Students not wishing to progress towards legal practice may substitute other law courses at level 8, or any level 8 course from schedules A to Q, T and W, for some or all of those courses not required for the award of LLB on this programme ('Business Entities LAWS08134', 'Commercial Law Ordinary LAWS08131', 'Succession and Trust Law LAWS08130', 'Evidence (Ordinary) LAWS08141').
Please note, students who may be retaking a compulsory course, it is possible that there may be timetable clashes.
