Mathematical Physics Yr 1, Core course options

Select exactly 20 credits of the following courses
Notes:
A pass in one of these courses is compulsory for progression to Year 2.

If Proofs and Problem Solving is not taken in Year 1, Accelerated Proofs and Problem Solving (MATH08071) must be taken in Year 2.
AND

Level 7 and 8 courses in Schedules A to Q, T and W


Year 2 Academic year: 2018/19, Starting in: August

Notes:
Progression to second year requires passes in all first year specified compulsory courses or, for Direct Entry, award of 120 credits by prior learning. This is in addition to the general progression requirement.

Notes:
A pass in one of these courses is compulsory for progression to Year 3.

Mathematical Physics Yr 2 Maths options

Select between 0 and 10 credits of the following courses
Notes:
If Proofs and Problem Solving (MATH08059) was not taken in year 1, Accelerated Proofs and Problem Solving must be taken. If Proofs and Problem Solving was taken in year 1, Accelerated Proofs and Problem Solving cannot be taken. A pass in either MATH08059 or MATH08071 is compulsory for progression to Year 3.

Level 7 and 8 courses in Schedules A to Q, T and W

Notes:

Notes:
These courses are compulsory for all Direct Entry Students (POE2).

Passes in these courses are compulsory for Direct Entry students to progress to Year 3.

Notes:
Progression to the fourth year of the MPhys programme requires a minimum average of 50% over the 120 credits of compulsory courses in 3rd year and a maximum of 20 credits obtained by credits awarded on aggregation (CA). This is in addition to the general progression requirements.
