Summary | This course focuses on the challenges of designing an interior intervention into an existing building over multiple floors. |
Course description |
Using an existing medium-size multi-storey space (approximately 500m2), students will be asked to analyse, measure and draw to scale. They will then be tasked to redesign this space for a new function. They may have access to a client to interview, but will be expected to establish a brief in order to respond to the potential clients needs.
Students will prepare scheme design proposals in sketch or other communicative form for discussion. During this iterative process they will prepare final proposals in drawing and/or model form to scale for consideration by client or staff.
