Summary | This course will serve as a basic primer in key Design Interior principles, production methods and techniques. Following on from Interior Design 1A, the course further builds and expands fundamental technical and conceptual knowledge and understanding that is vital for sustained practice. |
Course description |
Students will be given an existing single storey space to analyse, measure and draw to scale. They may have access to a client to interview, and will be expected to establish a brief in order to respond to the clients needs and the limitations and possibilities presented by the space.
Students will prepare outline proposals in sketch or other communicative form for discussion. During this iterative process they will prepare final proposals in drawing and/or model form to scale, for consideration by client or staff.
Students will gain a basic understanding of interior alteration of an existing space, and develop ideas based on the requirements of other people.
