Course description |
A painting identified for its architectonic qualities, and a designer who could have been influenced by it are chosen from a set list by each student to respond to with a view to an understanding of representation of space, perspective and conceptual thinking developing.
Students will develop model-making skills through the creation of a representative and visually accurate 3D model of a 2D painting. From there students will be asked to propose and design an alternative use for the space created. They will represent this as a series of drawings and sketch models.
Students will have access to workshop and will work in the design studio.
