| Summary | The course will examine central philosophical problems in relation to the natural environment in both the history of philosophy and contemporary debates. The content evolves year to year, but it may cover topics such as (i) the concept of nature and the natural, (ii) the moral implications of nature and the environment, (iii) the aesthetics of nature/environment, and (iv) deep ecological or ecophilosophical approaches to environmental challenges. |
