SummaryThis course introduces students to cutting-edge research in ethics.
Course description This course introduces students to cutting-edge research in ethics. Students will (i) attend meetings of the Ethics Research Seminar (at which visiting speakers present their research), (ii) participate in tutorials, and (iii) develop a research paper under the supervision of one of the members of Edinburgh's Ethics Research Cluster.

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  1. discuss the latest cutting edge research in ethics (as presented by Ethics Research Group speakers)
  2. engage critically in contemporary debates in ethics.
  3. formulate questions and positions of relevance in ethics and write a short critical paper on a current theme in ethics.
Reading List
Readings will include new or in-progress papers by Ethics RG speakers, as well as relevant background papers, to be determined by the speaker and announced before each tutorial.
