Single research project and written dissertation including:
Project design
Literature review
Materials and methods
Research conducted and results produced
Data analysis and interpretation
Thesis preparation
This final year Dissertation is a standalone research project where students will have the opportunity to employ the skills and knowledge developed earlier in the programme to undertake novel, publication quality research in applied poultry science

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Demonstrate a critical understanding of some of the principal theories, principles and concepts of APS (1)
- Plan and execute a significant project of research in APS (2)
- Critically review, consolidate and extend knowledge, skills and thinking in APS (3)
- Communicate with peers, more senior colleagues and specialists on a topic in APS (4)
- Take responsibility for their own work, while demonstrating initiative and making a contribution to development or new thinking in APS (5)
