This programme allows students to follow a 'track specific' route of study. It is intermittent, which means students have up to 2 years to complete the Certificate credits, 4 years to complete the Diploma credits and 6 years to complete the MVetSci.
All students must complete the two compulsory courses (VESC11109 and VESC11204), plus ONE of the 'Recent Advances in/Principles.' courses and ONE of the 'Standard Diagnostic Testing ...' courses, depending on the track followed.
MVetSci students must complete either a dissertation or select an additional 60 credits from the Advanced Clinical Practice Elective Courses collection. Students undertaking the dissertation element MUST have completed the Research Methods & Data Analysis (A) course (VESC11235) course prior to commencement.
You will be notified by email announcement at the times during the year when you should consider your electives. Electives should be chosen to fit with the appropriate 'track' of study. For guidance on track specific electives, please email Sharon.Boyd@ed.ac.uk.
**Please note that not all courses listed as Electives will necessarily be available every year**
