Notes:
Students wishing to pursue qualification to progress towards legal practice in Scotland should note the courses required as indicated in the Degree Programme Table for the LLB Honours (years 1 and 2).

Before selecting any optional courses please ensure that you have met your Personal Tutor.

Please note, students who may be retaking a compulsory course, or has chosen to do so for professionally qualifying reasons, it is possible that there may be timetable clashes.

To progress to Honours in Sociology, students must achieve marks of 50% or better at the first attempt in their required Sociology subjects in 2nd Year.

Notes:
Students wishing to progress towards legal practice should note that passes in the following courses are required to qualify as a solicitor in Scotland: Delict, Public Law and Individual Rights, Business Entities, Evidence and Criminal, Property, Commercial, Succession and Trust Law.

Year 3 Academic year: 2019/20, Starting in: August

Notes:
Students who have passed either Introduction to Statistics for Social Science (SSPS08008) or Doing Social Research with Statistics (SSPS08007) are not required to take Doing Survey Research (SCIL10063) and should take a Sociology Honours Option course instead. Students who have not taken Introduction to Statistics (SSPS08008) or Doing Social Research with Statistics (SSSPS08007) must take Doing Survey Research (SCIL10063) as compulsory course.

Please note:To progress to Honours in Sociology, students must achieve marks of 50% or better at the first attempt in their required Sociology subjects in 2nd Year.

Students who opt to spend their third year abroad will be expected to do the equivalent of 120 credits. All students who spend their third year abroad must also take the compulsory course 'Advanced Legal Writing (Online) LAWS10214'.
