Notes:
Students wishing to pursue qualification to progress towards legal practice in Scotland should note the courses required as indicated in the Degree Programme Table for the LLB Honours (years 1 and 2).

Please note, students who may be retaking a compulsory course, or has chosen to do so for professionally qualifying reasons, it is possible that there may be timetable clashes.

Notes:
Entry into Honours normally requires (i) passes in all subjects taken in the first two years, and (ii) a mark of 50% or above at first attempt in required Spanish courses. The 3rd year comprises at least 30 weeks spent in the relevant country and prescribed work in Law and the relevant language in an approved establishment.

Students wishing to progress towards legal practice should note that passes in the following courses are required to qualify as a solicitor in Scotland: 'Commercial Law (Ordinary) LAWS08131', 'Business Entities LAWS08134', 'Public Law and Individual Rights LAWS08132', 'Evidence (Ordinary) LAWS08141', 'Delict LAWS08135', 'Criminal Law (Ordinary) LAWS08142'; 'Property Law (Ordinary) LAWS08133', and 'Succession and Trust Law LAWS08130'. All 80 credits of optional courses can therefore be drawn from Law Level 8 courses.

Before selecting your optional courses please ensure that you have met your Personal Tutor.

Year 3 Academic year: 2019/20, Starting in: August

Notes:
Entry into Honours normally requires (i) passes in all subjects taken in the first two years, and (ii) a mark of 50% or above in required Spanish courses at the first attempt.

The 3rd year comprises at least 30 weeks spent in the relevant country and prescribed work in Law and the relevant language in an approved establishment.

Students spend their third year abroad will be expected to do the equivalent of 120 credits. All students who spend their third year abroad must also take the compulsory course 'Advanced Legal Writing (Online) LAWS10214', and have the option to take 'Studying Law in Context LAWS10201'.
