Notes:
It is strongly recommended that students on joint programmes with Psychology take Data Analysis for Psychology in R1 (DapR1)

Year 2 Academic year: 2019/20, Starting in: August

Notes:
Students who have passed courses to the required value of 240 credits, and:
- achieved marks of 50% or more at the first attempt in Sociology 2a and Sociology 2b and
- achieved a mark of 40% or above in Research Methods and Statistics at the first attempt
- achieved a mean mark of 50% or above in Psychology 2a and Psychology 2b (with a minimum of 40% achieved at the first attempt)
are automatically entitled to progress to honours.

Students who are planning on spending their Junior Year Abroad must successfully progress to honours before they can proceed on their JYA.

Students wishing BPS accreditation must ensure that their curriculum follows BPS guidelines. Please contact Psychology for guidance on these requirements.

Notes:
Students returning to Year 4 from a year of study abroad who have not taken and passed courses equivalent to PSYL10126 Research Methods and Statistics 2 and PSYL10127 Research Methods and Statistics 3 while abroad will be required to take one or both of these courses in Year 4

There are no compulsory courses in this year of this programme.

If taking the Sociology Project students are expected to use part of the summer vacation of their third year on research for it. Students who wish to be eligible for the British Psychological Society's Graduate Basis for Registration MUST take the Dissertation in Psychology.
