This course develops the theme of personal and interpersonal skills, communication skills and clinical skills, with an emphasis on the clinical context and preparation for working in a clinical environment.
Linkages will be made with other courses where aspects of professionalism and clinical skills are highlighted.

1. Attendance
You are expected to attend ALL of the professional and clinical skills practical/tutorial classes listed on this course, but you MUST attend a minimum of 75% of these classes to pass this course.
Please make sure that you sign the attendance sheet for every class to ensure that we have accurate records of your attendance.
If for medical reasons you cannot attend you must inform the school office and your Personal Tutor in writing of your illness and produce a Medical Certificate.

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Monitor personal professional standards required in clinical EMS
- To further develop clinical skills relevant to physical examination, diagnostic approaches and therapeutic strategies in common veterinary species.
- Develop effective and structured communication in the clinical context
- Perform common diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within in the clinical skills lab environment
