SummaryThis course introduces students to cutting-edge research in contemporary epistemology.
Course description This course introduces students to cutting-edge research in contemporary epistemology. Students will attend meetings of the Epistemology Research Seminar, at which visiting speakers present their research, and participate in seminars that combine analysis of relevant background materials with exploration of the research presented. Students will conduct in-depth investigation of a chosen topic for the coursework.

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  1. discuss the latest cutting edge research in epistemology (as presented by Epistemology Research Group speakers)
  2. engage critically in contemporary debates in epistemology
  3. formulate questions and positions of relevance in contemporary epistemology skills in writing a short critical paper on a current theme in epistemology
Reading List
Readings will include new or in-progress papers by ERG speakers, as well as relevant background papers, to be determined by the speaker and announced before each tutorial.
