For entry to honours, students much achieve (1) an *average* of 50% at the first sitting across the mandatory Philosophy courses taken in the second year, ie Mind, Matter and Language (MML) and Knowledge and Reality (K&R); and (2) a minimum of 40% in each of these courses (MML and K&R) achieved at the first sitting.

Students are required to pass DIVI10001 Theology & Religious Studies: Final Dissertation or PHIL10026 Dissertation in Philosophy in order to be awarded an honours degree.
There are no compulsory courses in this year of this programme.

Where the dissertation is taken in Philosophy, students must register for the dissertation completion course and write one 8000 word essay on a topic to be arranged with the department. All students who take the dissertation in Philosophy, must complete the Philosophy Dissertation course in year 3
