| Additional Information (Assessment) |
A written report of no less than 5000 words and 200 hours of average student work. The written assignment may be thought of as a refined version of the initial research proposal methods discussion. Particular emphasis should be given to the 'empirical' and 'fieldwork' focus of the PhD project. The student should provide an overview of the strengths and weaknesses of different methodological approaches as considered relevant for their proposed research It should review the different kinds of research designs and methods that have been deployed on the phenomena under study. Content and structure of the reading assignment may vary from this with the supervisor's agreement. |
