| Summary | To further develop trainees' critical abilities and underpin ophthalmic medical and surgical knowledge in their chosen subspecialty. To promote independent decision making in both medical and surgical management of patient and understanding of latest treatment developments. |
| Course description |
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
1) Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of chosen ophthalmic subspecialty.
2) Identify, conceptualise and offer original and creative insights into novel information and/or recently published data.
3) Produce a written critique of a defined piece of research.
4) Demonstrate originality and creativity in the development and application of new knowledge, understanding and practices.
