SummaryThis is a structured introductory course of lectures, and rehearsal of procedures in the Clinical Skills Laboratory, designed to familiarize the postgraduate with the basics and approach to later parts of the course. It is designed to allow the postgraduate to become familiar with the rationale and clinical techniques used Paediatric Dentistry in the UK, with specific reference to treatment procedures in current use in the Department of Paediatric Dentistry at the Edinburgh Dental Institute.
Course description This course is conducted in the Clinical Skills Laboratory. It is a structured course of lectures and rehearsed procedures on dental models. It aims to familiarise the students with the procedures performed in the Department of Paediatric Dentistry at the Edinburgh Dental Institute. At the end of the module, the students sit a practical exam in the lab and have to pass this in order to be able to proceed to the clinic and treatment of patients.
