SummaryThe course will consolidate and develop core written language skills.
Course description This course consists of weekly classes where the skills in writing in Danish/Norwegian/Swedish will be developed. In the course, students will work with texts covering a variety of subjects, and they will learn to understand the use of style and register. The course will cover how to summarise texts, to compose short argumentative essays on various topics and these exercises will be used as a vehicle for revising grammar and enhancing general language skills. Teaching of this course is integrated alongside teaching of the courses in Oral for Danish/Norwegian/Swedish.

The method used is synchronous small-group language teaching with asynchronous elements including discussion of advanced grammar issues, video material, and articles from Danish/Norwegian/Swedish newspapers and magazines. Each week, students are expected to do a set amount of asynchronous preparation in the form of summaries or short essays to be handed in, as outlined in that week's instructions. The vast majority of communication in this course will take place in the target language.
