On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  1. Review the anatomy of the musculoskeletal system including bone joints, neuromuscular and connective tissue
  2. Appraise biomaterials with regard to biomechanics
  3. critical analysis of surgical approaches in relation to functional anatomy
  4. Apply a constant and integrated approach to critical analysis, evaluation and synthesis of new and complex ideas, information and issues
  5. Exercise a high level of autonomy and initiative in professional activities at a level of independent surgical practice
