Summary | Participation in the Eucotax Wintercourse involves the preparation of a substantial report, under supervision, on a topic of taxation, prior to participating in an intensive week of discussion and study of that topic with staff and students from other universities. This week culminates in the preparation by the group of a joint report covering the thirteen jurisdictions represented and after return, the final assessment requires reflection on the comparative element. |
Course description |
The course will enable students to acquire an advanced understanding of an area of tax law with domestic and international implications, debate that issue with an international group of staff and students and work within a group to prepare an overarching report and present findings, in the context of significant time restraints and demonstrate their ability to learn from others.

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- The student will acquire knowledge and understanding of the particular topic under consideration, from a domestic, comparative, EU and international perspective.
- The course aims to further develop student abilities and skills in respect of the use of legal materials, appreciation of the law in context and evaluation and criticism.
