SummaryThis course focuses on skills for a research environment. These include writing a project proposal and oral presentation.
Course description This course will cover:
- practical skills, including those relevant to lab research projects (eg. simple quantitation/calculation of molarity/dilutions for accurate pipetting; positive and negative controls; sample size and statistics).
- project grant proposal: aims; introduction; justification; methods; potential problems/solutions; costs; timeline.
- public speaking skills (debates/presentation/question and answer sessions).
