Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- familiarise themselves with the research literature on their topic identify hypotheses to test/questions to answer/themes to explore
- design and set up a research project that can test these hypotheses/answer the questions gather and manage data
- apply appropriate analyses techniques to any data collected interpret the results of the analyses report results in a style appropriate to published research and, in the case of literature based research, apply suitable critical analysis techniques to the research material
- write up the research in a style appropriate to psychological research standards
