Course description |
On completion of this course, the student will be able to: Anatomy of the shoulder and elbow, Review the pathophysiology of musculoskeletal disorders affecting the shoulder and elbow, Knowledge of clinical tests used specifically to assess the shoulder and elbow, knowledge of trauma specific to the shoulder and elbow, Knowledge of the value of ultrasound, arthrography, CT, MRI and plain radiographs as used to assess the shoulder and elbow, Critically appraise the procedures employed in diagnosis and management of shoulder and elbow disorders including operative and non-operative techniques, Apply a constant and integrated approach to critical analysis, evaluation and synthesis of new and complex ideas, information and issues.
