SummaryTo provide an understanding of the science, relevant diagnostic assays and clinical application of tissue and solid organ transplantation, and related aspects of donor selection.
Course description The course will give the student informatinon on the physiology and pathophysiology of liver, kidney, pancreatic, bone and stem cell/marrow transplantation, including the methods used to collect tissues and organs suitable for these uses, the methods used to process and assure quality of such donations, the clinical uses of tissues and organ transplantation and the relevant legislation underpinning this.
