Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  1. Demonstrate a critical understanding of current issues relating to the application of population genetics in conservation breeding.
  2. Be able to apply population genetic theory and conduct appropriate data analysis relevant to the management of conservation breeding programmes.
  3. Analyse complex conservation breeding issues and contribute to management recommendations, even in the absence of complete or consistent information.
  4. Interpret results of population genetic analysis to inform conservation breeding strategies.
