Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Demonstrate a critical understanding of current issues relating to the application of population genetics in conservation breeding.
- Be able to apply population genetic theory and conduct appropriate data analysis relevant to the management of conservation breeding programmes.
- Analyse complex conservation breeding issues and contribute to management recommendations, even in the absence of complete or consistent information.
- Interpret results of population genetic analysis to inform conservation breeding strategies.
