Course description |
In year 2 of PhD with Integrated Study, students will undertake a range of training and activities in communication and public engagement with research that will delivered by the Roslin Institute's Public Engagement team at the Easter Bush Science Outreach Centre (EBSOC www.ebsoc.ed.ac.uk) and other external partners.
EBSOC courses
1) Basic principles of Public Engagement and Communication
2) Evaluating public engagement
3) Engagement with the use of animals in research
4) Writing for non-specialist audiences
5) Practicalities of event management for public engagement
Students will put their learning into practice during 5 days of experiential learning at EBSOC workshops or other agreed events.
