Students who have passed courses to the required value of 240 credits, and achieved marks of 50% or more at the first attempt in all required second-year courses for their registered degree, are automatically entitled to progress to honours.
Students who are planning on spending their Junior Year Abroad must successfully progress to honours before they can proceed on their JYA.
Students on with Quantitative Methods degrees must take Statistical Modelling in year 3 (or year 4 if on a year abroad). They must take at least two and no more than three quantitative electives across their third and fourth year. Students who take a year abroad in year 3 will almost always take Statistical Modelling in year 4 and then must select at least one and no more than two quantitative electives
