SummaryIndicative course content
This course is run through the Royal Botanic Garden, Edinburgh and is taught predominantly with RBGE staff. It consists of lectures, workshops and plant 'walk-arounds'. Visits to local Scottish nurseries are also components within the module.

Aims of course
1 To introduce the fundamentals of plant taxonomy, physiology and culture
2 To instil knowledge and capabilities in plant identification and an understanding of appropiate planting for particular sites and purposes
3 To introduce the selection, establishment, care and management of nursery plants to enable students to appropriately specify planting for landscape design projects
