Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- A critical understanding of policy and policy-making as practice.
- A critical understanding of the interface between knowledge and policy in the context of science and technology.
- An ability to draw on theoretical knowledge, existing resources and networks for knowledge brokerage and policy work and demonstrate critical understanding in their application in a practice context.
- An ability to identify, conceptualize and define the challenges in the role of a policy-orientated knowledge broker.
- Capacity for critical analysis of reflective practice based on the development of analytical skills and know-how in a policy context.
