Course description This course is designed to introduce students to the microscopic structure of tissues and organs. It will initially look at the histology of the basic tissues before going on to look at the histology of specific structures within body systems.

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  1. identify the basic tissues of the body and where they are found
  2. identify the histology of the various organ systems of the body and to relate this to their function
