Summary | This course will take students through the basic principles of a computer 3D drawing package, which will include three-dimensional computer modelling, rendering and animation. It will investigate the role of 3D computer drawing and rendering as a solution for persuasive medium of design visualization and communication. Students will use skills learnt to produce realistic 3D representations of projects. |
Course description |
This course involves students attending weekly lectures and workshops where they will be taken through the various stages and commands of a 3D drawing package, through a series of small project-based exercises relevant to their own practice. Weekly tasks will engage students in practicing taught elements to improve their skills.
Students will be assisted in determining a project, relevant to their discipline, that they can develop over the course using the skills taught. At the end of course, students will be able to draw and render their own project using relevant 3D drawing programmes to support their own design ideas.
