Course description The course will focus on an existing/historic site and students will be required to carry out detailed research and analysis into past and present use to provide a clear rationale in consideration of a suitable the new function

Research will include contextual site analysis to include site data and drawings; alongside rigorous exploration of the relevant sector.

Students will practice autonomy, defining their own precise brief, to determine an appropriate function rationale for the interior and its users.

Students will learn how to demonstrate competence in large-scale planning, spatial layout, and (vertical) circulation, making connections in and between spaces.
