Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  1. translate competently from Spanish in a variety of styles and registers and in a range of genres;
  2. deal effectively with cultural and linguistic differences between texts in Spanish and English;
  3. engage successfully with register, idiom, rhythm, nuance and ambiguity in translation;
  4. demonstrate competence in the identification, analysis and evaluation of the translation problems that the texts raise with reflection upon process.
