Summary | Italian Language 2 aims to consolidate the progress made in first year expanding vocabulary, syntax and grammar while further enhancing awareness to different registers and styles.
Alongside strengthening the language and in preparation for the third year abroad, the course intends to address contemporary cultural aspects of the Italian society, which will also be tackled and studied more in-depth in the co-requisite course, Texts in Context.

Course description |
One oral language tutorials per week.
Ex-ab-initio students will also have a Monday Grammar Class every other week.

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Read complex texts on familiar and general topics and get an in-depth understanding.
- Comprehend the main points of specific information spoken at normal speed in some detail.
- Write more accurate and cohesive texts in different styles and registers (emails/letters; summaries; argumentative and creative essays).
- Improve speaking and presentation skills on prepared basis and impromptu.
- Work responsibly and effectively, both independently or as part of a team, and under a tutor¿s guidance.
