Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  1. Understand the basic principles behind the most commonly used diagnostic techniques including microscopy, antibody based assays, cellular assays and molecular assays.
  2. Discuss areas of innovation and development, and appreciate the use of bedside diagnostics and the importance of reference laboratories.
